Let's Be Spontaneous....

That's exactly what I told Josh on New Year's Day. Since buying a house, going to school, raising 2 kids, and work has seemed to get in the way of our spontanaety the past 7 years, I decided that we should just go and try being spontaneous like we used to. So we jumped in the car around 10am and head up to Big Bear to take the kids sledding. We were so glad to have the day off and just get out of the house. Of course we packed the DVD player, GPS, food, diapers, etc. so I guess we weren't THAT spontaneous since we still have to prepare a little bit before going anywhere.
In any case we were off headed for an adventure and what a perfect day it turned out to be. We used the GPS to go around all the traffic (apparantly everyone else wanted to go to the snow too). We stopped for potty breaks, bought a really cool sled at Kmart, grabbed some pizza for lunch and found a great sledding hill in a private little community. We made a snowman, had a snowball fight and chased after Daisy--it was her first time in the snow and she wasn't as big of a wimp as we thought she would be. Then we headed out around 5pm to find a Denny's for dinner and took a back road to beat the traffic. I wish I could have more days like that in the future.

So fun! I can't believe Josh is walking around in a t-shirt...well, I can, but it makes me cold thinking about it! I wish we all had more days like that.

Fun! So being spontaenous is another one of those things that disappears with kids huh?!?!? Don't tell Ryan ha ha

I got your message, no worries, the 15th is definitely close enough to the 14th. As long as you get the right week you are ok! :-)

See you tonight!

Fun stuff. I can relate to missing the spontaneous days. Carpe Diem right? And yeah, Josh wore a t-shirt? What the heck!?

What a fun day! Sometimes I forget the snow is so close. We should go up there together sometime!
