I happened to hear the sink going one morning and found Max like this doing the dishes. I ran for my camera and got a great pic that I'm sure will be shown later on in life...maybe to put in a year book, show to his girlfriend, or in one of those wedding slide shows or something:) The options are endless. At least he's a boy that likes to do the dishes!

Just Helping with the Dishes Mom!

Orange Juice Anyone?
One thing that I can't do is cook in my kitchen by myself. Max loves to by right beside me in the kitchen and so I always have to give him a job. This OJ maker is one wedding present that I thought I would never use...little did I know. Max is a good juicer and I love fresh squeezed OJ in the morning!

IT'S A GIRL!!!

So, we found out on Friday morning that we are going to have a girl. I didn't realize how badly I wanted a girl until that day. I was so excited and Josh kept asking are you sure??? No, Josh is really happy to have a girl and I'm hoping it will bring out a more sweet and softer side to Josh that only I know. Max was there too and keeps telling me that the baby girl is sleeping and that it's dark inside my tummy.
The other good news is that Max is starting preschool through the school district in 2 weeks. It's 5 days a week, 5 hours a day. Boy, is he going to be tired after school. I know he'll love it though. He's so big and wants to learn so many things that I have a hard time keeping up with him. Well that's all the news for now but I will keep you posted.

Sweet boy Max!
.jpg)
Our sweet boy Max is so fun! He is always happy and loves to makes other laugh too. He will be 3 years old next month-Crazy how time flies! We are doing the potty training thing since I refuse to have 2 kids in diapers. I am 3 months pregnant and will find out what we're having next week. Max is so excited to have a baby brother or sister and always wants to kiss the baby in my tummy (he likes to communicate thru the belly button). I never thought that my kids would be 3 1/2 years apart but I am just grateful to have the opportunity to be pregnant again.

The Proffit Fam
I don't really know how to use a blog so we'll see how it goes. Josh and I have been busy with our "not so little" son Max over the past 1 1/2 years. He is VERY active as I guess most toddlers are. His favorite things to do are play basketball with dad, snuggle and read books with mom and run around like a crazy kid. He is extremely tall for his age. He wears a size 7 shoe and can only fit into 2T clothes. I find it amazing how well natured he is. He hardly ever cries, knows when its time to take a nap (and he's o.k. with it), but also understands more than we think. He eats a ton. It's a good thing kids meals come with a lot of fries. He's not one to share when it comes to food. He plays hard and sleeps hard. He'll sleep in until 9:00am sometimes if we let him. Max has a very gentle spirit and hates scary noises. Airplanes and helicopters are o.k. but NOT the drive thru car wash. If it's music he'll dance along with the rest of us. As you can tell our lives revolve around Max but that's o.k. because he brings soooo much joy into our lives. He constantly reminds us that routine is good especially when it consists of daily prayers, brushing teeth and lots of hugs and kisses. I often wonder what my life would be like without such a blessing. I guess it would be quite empty. Isn't it interesting how God gave us this awesome responsibility and yet so many think of it as a burden? Well, I can attest to you that it is not. Motherhood is the only thing that truly matters in my life aside from the relationships I share with family and friends. Isn't it interesting that those relationships are worth more than anything to me in this life and those are one of the few things I'll take with me in eternity? Coincidence? I think not. I feel that I should spend all my days on this earth striving to work on those relationships and strengthening my family. Too bad somebody's got to pay the bills, huh? That's life as we know it.
